The 'Smart' Indian politicians!

According to Yale university, they were surprised by the intelligence of the Politicians in India. Well, I could have told them that most of the Indian politicians are indeed very smart. After all, one only has to look to the various ways they try and circumvent the law. If you were to take a poll all across India, you will find that most of the Indians consider that the politicians are some of the smartest robbers in this world. They have indeed proved time and time again that they have the brains. So what Yale has said is not anything new but rather a confirmation of what we already know. Since they were smart to cheat the Indian government, the Indian tax man and the Indian public, time and time again, we naturally expect our politicians to be the toppers in any intelligence test.

Every year when the gold festival comes about in dubai so many Indians go over there and they7 buy so much gold.actually Indians are the largest consumers of gold in the entire world.they consume about 850 tonnes of gold per annum.can you imagine one tonne of gold.just take a moment to imagine it,now imagine 850 tonnes of it.Indians consume that much every single year and the demand is growing by leaps and bounds.
What is making Dubai so attractive to so many Indians is the fact that the gold obtained there is quite pure and at the same time much cheaper than what is available at home.of course,the Dubai gold may not have those unique Indian designs but they make up for it in quality and price.so most of the savvy Indians buy bars of gold and bring it back home to be designed into those unique designs by the Indian designers.thats one way to go.so do not be surprised if you see many people carrying bars of gold through the airport the nest time you travel.can you imagine,850 tonnes and that is at per year basis!no wonder most of the jewellery giants are making a beeline for India!

The Taj record!

The updated version of the seven wonders of the world now lists the Taj Mahal as one of them.the Taj Mahal is a shrine to love and it stands tall amongst all the other wonders.the other wonders may have all been built for one ordinary purpose or the other.but in the whole wide world that we live in today,there is only one building which epitomizes love and that is the Taj Mahal.
The story behind it is indeed tragic and moving.the whole building was built more as a memorial for a lost love,a love that drove an emperor almost to the brink of madness.it seems to be true that love conquers all and that is totally true especially when one views the Taj under the light of a full moon with the Yamuna river meandering nearby.of course all the other wonders of the world are all equally great.but they were all built for the glorification of self rather than for 'a lost cause'.one of the reasons that the Taj story is so moving is that although the emperor Shah Jahan literally put his all into the building of the Taj,he was at the time of his completion imprisoned by his son Aurangazeb.Imagine falling so totally in love with someone,an then that person dies.so you build a fantastic memorial for her.once it is completed,you imagine yourself visiting your loved one in that beautiful memorial but then,you are taken a prisoner by your own son.you are imprisoned in a building right across the Taj and you ca only look out across the river to that sight but you can never visit it ever again.how would you feel?
that is why the love that the Taj signifies is more of a love of the intense hopeless kind.after all that is what real love is all about,right?love knows no reason therefore has only a heart which beats in harmony!
