It is sad to see a man who has stood for peace and non violence to be defiled as such by Beijing. It is sad that such an allegedly great Asian nation has to resort to dirty tricks to defile a man who has withstood exile and today stands all for peace and reconciliation.
Ever since, Beijing invaded Tibet, it has done its best to eradicate all influence that the Dalai Lama may still have in the Tibetan plateau and recently the Chinese army even barricaded a couple of Buddhist monasteries. But after having done all that, if the Dalai Lama were to say 'MOOO', China would literally have a cow. This is one man who seems to have such a powerful effect on the whole of China itself. China may think that it would be able to enforce the 'one china' policy by sheer force, but that is just not realistic. For anything fruitful to be accomplished it cannot be done by force, because anything that is done by force, does not last for long. One would think that the Chinese would have taken to heart the lesson of China's emperor and how he tried to do everything by sheer force and in the end his dynasty did not even last a few years after he was dead. That is the clincher about trying to do things by force, they rarely last long. Tibet belongs to the Dalai Lama and his people and it is high time that the Chinese government realised this and accepted the ground reality.
But I do not see that happening anytime soon, do you? As for the latest move by China telling other foreign countries not to interfere in its internal affairs by commemorating the Dalai lama, well that just goes to show how desperate the Chinese are getting of late on the entire Tibet issue. What is more, internationally the Dalai lama is growing in stature and his voice cannot be stifled by the Chinese anymore. The other parts of the world all recognise the Dalai lama as a great man irrespective of China's wrath and it is only a matter of time before the Chinese government understand that what they are doing is Wrong and that it is high time for some redressal regarding this issue!

India China and Myanmar-power,lies and videotape!
With both India and China getting extremely anxious with the Myanmar situation, the recent events have not helped matters any bit.especially the killing of an innocent Japanese journalist by the Myanmar military.what made things more worse is the fact that this killing was captured on camera and broadcast.now the pressure on both these Asian giants has increased tenfold.it seems that both these Asian giants may well sit down and chalk out a common strategy as far as Myanmar goes.in the meantime, reports are reaching the other countries that the supposed dead toll could well be higher than the said 9.it is one thing to have people attacking unarmed civilians but totally another to attack unarmed and helpless Buddhist monks!
It is high time that all of the countries got together on this Myanmar issue and impress on both India and China to take further action without any delay whatsoever!myanmar, india, buddhist, united nations,
