Worst Rain in Three decades!

Bihar is in floods and it is still raining there.it seems that Bihar and the North east of India has seen the heaviest downfall of rain to have come in the last three decades.if that was not enough the current government is not doing that much to alleviate the misery of its people.
Lets not forget that it is Bihar that we are talking about and that the infrastructure is already poor to begin with.the current government is doing the best that it could under the circumstances but lets face it,it is over strapped.the army should step in and I do not see what they are waiting for.as it is the water in Bihar is already chest high,maybe the army will step in with relief works after the rainwater increases to the top of one's head.also Bihar is one of the biggest states in India and it is not going to be easy to distribute relief.i do earnestly hope that the government of Bihar and India are doing something about it.in the meanwhile,the Met department,has predicted more heavy downpours for Bihar and the North east of India.it is certainly pouring down on everyone literally and figuratively!

Sanjay Dutt back in Jail!!

Sanjay Dutt has had his bail cancelled and is now heading back to jail.today was the last day for the pronouncement of sentences in the 1993 Bombay blast case.as Sanjay came up before the judge,many people from the society had come forward to plead on his behalf.they had asked the judge to consider sanjay's character which they said was 'good' and that he had supported many causes for the society at large.
But come on,people,every accused who has been found guilty would probably be on their best behaviour in the hope that it may make the judge free them altogether.that was the plan but lets just say that today that particular plan went awry altogether.
The judge heading this case has rightly judged,in my opinion,that Sanjay showed scant respect for the law while acquiring the forbidden firearms[lets not forget that the gun law is very strict in India].what is more,after the crime had been committed,just doing good deeds may not sway Justice that much and that was proved correctly today.
In my opinion,Justice prevailed today after all,before the law everyone is equal,be they filmstars or maharajas.Sanjay Dutt most certainly did not go out of his way to perform that many good deeds prior to his arrest and has only seen the light after all this had happened.that he is of good character now may be true but justice is blind to both good deeds or anything else that may have happened after the crime.he did commit a crime and therefore he has to serve the full 6 years that has been handed to him.it may be sad but he has made his bed and has to lie on it!

UK visa problems for all?!?

With the probe now extending to India,there are rumors floating around that there may be problems in obtaining a UK visa from the near future onwards.it is totally unfair to tarnish all asians just because an asian participated in a terror attack but people should realise that if that is the case should not the germans be made as pariahs forever,especially when one considers what they did to all those poor jewish people?
One cannot label an entire race just by the actions of a few mad fanatics.but this debate is endless and i have to say that as Interpol has implied recently in its recent press statement that the blame for the latest attacks in Glasgow rests solely on the current labor government in the United Kingdom.
With a database of terrorists and those who show terrorist sympathies available with Interpol,the british government should have done more by way of sharing with other member countries as well as Interpol what ever information it had with itself.what is more the recent comments alleging that MI5 knew about the attacks beforehand really only casts a deep shadow on the efficiency of the Labor government.will Gordon Brown be able to handle this nasty business without losing out all his hair???

Radical muslim cleric killed by pakistani troopers!

Today saw the pakistani troopers raid the Red mosque in the heart of Islamabad where the radical cleric was holed up with his supporters which mainly consisted of women.President Musharaff was indeed caught between a rock and a hard place.the radical cleric and his brother and followers were getting out of hand with their demand to have the shariat law imposed all over pakistan.with things coming to a head,Musharaff gave them an ultimatum,surrender or face the consequences.please remember that the Musharaff government is supported in the center by a radical muslim group who are not going to be all too happy with the current turn of events.what is more,this political group is now going to come under enormous pressure which may force them to reconsider their support to the Musharaff government.
Either way with a dammed if he does or dammed if he does not,Musharaff finally had enough and gave the orders to the troopers to raid the mosque.fighting is currently going on with hand to hand battles in almost every room.the rebels are giving as good as they get and the story is yet to fully play out.either way President Musharaff is heading into some really troubled times.will he survive this,probably but his political career is almost over with this faux paus.after all if one were to attack the very hand that one is fed by,what support can one count on come elections which by the way are not that far away!

U.S.S Nimitz comes calling on India!

The U.S ship Nimitz comes calling on India and is due to dock off the Chennai coast on monday.this visit has started off a controversy of sorts with the communist parties in India up in arms against the visit.they see this visit by a nuclear powered ship as an unnecessary danger to India and her citizens.but the truth is that the communist parties would have been all smiles had the visitor been a Chinese ship or a Russian ship.it is almost funny to see them protesting on such empty issues.of course safety is naturally a concern but when every precaution has been taken then what reason do they have for protesting Nimitz visiting India.none,whatsoever!like i said had the visit been by a chinese or russian ship,the communist parties both of them would be at the docks with garlands to greet the visitors.since the visitors are americans,they have exchanged the garlands for brickbats.of course people should understand that most of the Indians are happy with Nimitz visiting India,it is the communist parties that are creating this unnecessary fuss.what is more they are doing this not because they see this visit as a danger,but their party policy demands that they do not hob nob with the capitalists and to protest against them whenever possible.the communist parties better watch out,they are surely losing their relevance in this modern world.gone are the days of socialist and communist policies,say hello to capitalist policies!
