Kargil fund was not paid by Pratibha's bank?!?

The Pratibha Mahila Sahakari Bank, set up by UPA presidential candidate Pratibha Patil, collected Rs 4,556 from its employees for the Kargil war victims but failed to deposit the amount in the national fund.this is unheard of.if they had no intention of depositing the money then why on earth did they collect it in the first place.was it all just a scam?the bank directors owe the people of India an explanation.this bank of prathibha's seems to have been involved in some pretty shady deals.wonder what else we are gong to find if we were to lift the rock further.some of the people are going around saying that mud slinging is going on because certain sections cannot stomach a woman president.i can honestly say that nothing can be further from the truth.these questions have been raised by ms Prathibha Patel's behaviour and the behaviour of her family members especially when they were members of the board in this bank.what is more since president Abdul J Kalam has categorically said that he is not standing for elections we as the public feel that the person who is going to be the next president of India should be a person who is above reproach and does not raise so many bogey's whenever her name comes up!

The shady madam president??

It is indeed sad that such things have come to pass,wait a minute!it has not yet cme to that but may very well happen and soon at that.never in the history has there been a more unsuitable candidate for the high position as that of the president of India.Pratibha Patel,a woman who was once the governor of rajasthan,now is the cynosure of everyone's eyes.she has the backing of the ruling party as well as the others in the coalition in the center.so by numbers alone she is almost sure to become the next president OF India.but the sad truth is that there are many allegations of misuse of power and appropriation of funds from a bank in which ms Pratibha Patel was one of the directors on the board.what is more worryng is the fact that one of her first duties as the member of the board of directors was to appoint her other family members as the directors of the board as well.recently a mureder allegation has surfaced against the presidential nominee's[Pratibha patel] brother.if that was not enough,an RBI report has also surfaced listing out the financial misdeeds of ms Prathibha Patel and her family.naturally the ruling party has come out and accused the BJP of a mudslinging campaign against ms Prathibha Patel.but ladies and gentlemen do we need a president who obviously has so many skeletons in the closet?after current incumbent president naturally it may not be possible to be as popular s president Abdul J Kalam,but do we need a nominee who has raised more questions than has given any answer to the allegations against her.the post of the president of India is one of the highest positions in this country and as such any person who applies for such a post MUST be above reproach and this nominee with such a shady past has certainly not done that!

NAM matters a lot!

NAM,the non aligned movement co founded by India,got a rude jolt as the U.S condoleeza rice decided to come out and say that the NAM movement has lost all relevance in the modern world.but the entire world knows that the U.S has always been hostile to the very idea of NAM.NAM was started as a counter balance to the power polarities in the world at the time,the U.S and that of the U.S.S.R.the russians very adroitly managed to get friendly with India and thereby had assured that the NAM policies were always friendly to them,much to the chagrin of the U.S.
Today although the power scenario may have altered with the demise of the U.S.S.R a new power struggle happens to be taking place,between that of the U.S and the asian giants with Europe sitting on the sidelines and cheering the asians on.the asian giants,China and India believe in a multi polar world and as such the trilateral conferences between the current Russia,the NAM and the ASEAN just suits their purposes fine for this.the U.S knows that it could never totally dominate the world and make itself the sole reigning power.what is more most of the world central banks have started changing their reserver currency as the U.S dollar gets weaker and weaker.this worrying trend could also9 be as a result of the U.S policies and their aggressive attitude towards other world powers.as far as China,Russia and India are concerned,they seem to think that a multi polar world is much needed and they are making steady progress towards that end.as far as the U.S is concerned,they see themselves losing all relevance in this modern world as they and their economy gets more and more outdated.their aggressive polices may have well suited the time of kennedy's and nixon's.but today economy speaks volumes and services matter more than just mere muscle.gone are the days of muscle power and say hello to the power of money and hi tech wizardry!

NDTV goes aggresive!

NDTV is the top of all the news channels that is currently available in India.and they have shown a degree of Proffesional behaviour that is even better than those shown by the CNN Reporters.but of late,the channel has been getting aggresive in its tactics.one may say that such aggresive behaviour on the part of a channel may be unbecomng but then again in this World we are often faced with burning issues that require such aggresive behaviour for tackling them down.lets take a recent incident,we are all familiar with the BMW case.the NDTV people exposed the Nexus between the defense and the prosecution wherein both the defense and the Prosecution were colloborating to get the righ man off from facing the serious consequences of the law especially when he ran over and killed some ordinary labourers.i say,Kudos to NDTV for that expose and such behaviour on the part of a news channel is indeed warranted especially when we have such burning issues of corruption and murder to consider!

Info from Israel bans coconuts in India!

Info from Israel has alerted indian security agencies to an imminent threat of terrorist strike on Indian holy shrines via coconuts and flower garlands.so visitors to some of the most popular temples had to undergo a security blanket as well as have their coconuts and flower garlands confiscated.of course some of the pilgrims were a little testy at being told that they could not make any offerings to their god but on being told that such offerings could be used to blow up the temple,they decided to give up their cocouts without a fight.
Of course the coconut vendors had something to say all about this.their comments on being asked about this would probably have gone something like this "what a nutty idea".
either way if you are planning to go to any of the major temples in India be well advised not to carry any coconuts or flower garlands into the temple premises.some of the temples covered under this new security rule are the siddi vinayak temple as well as shiridi!

Madam president or Mr. president??

The race to Raisina hill has heated up in a very surprising way.the newly formed third front had nominated the current incumbent president Dr.abdul.j.kalam as their nominee.this could of course be just mere political posturing but consider the other two candidates,mr.shekawat[the current vice president] and Ms Pratibha Patil,the congress nominee.compared to dr.Kalam,these two just fade away into the background.Dr kalam has done much more for the nation than either of these two put together and that is not all.the current president dr.Kalam has shown more often than not that he has principles and will not be just a rubber stamp of any political party and what is more,is truly well liked and loved by the entire nation.Dr kalam if you are reading this,please do accept the third front's proposal and stand for the election,sir.the entire nation of India wants you to do so.the politicians may not but we as citizens of India want you to be the next president as well,sir.
It is indeed sad that most political parties are seeking to nominate someone they can control to the Rashtrapati bhavan,in effect making the next president of India a rubber stamp.this should not happen.it is high time that the executive was given more powers and the election of the president should be one where the people of india can actively participate in.i do not have any faith in the politicians as most of them are corrupt.so i do hope that the third front's nominee does win because this country does need someone like Dr.Kalam at the helm of things!

Will the new tulsi stand up?

The indian soap opera's are undergoing a major change.they have started doing leaps and bounds into the future with their new sory lines and this is more evident in the king of indian soaps that is 'kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi'.
The soap opera queen,tulsi has died and isi now reincarnated as a new person undertakes her character for the small screen.will she able to don the role properly and do justice to the character?that remains to be seen but the common consensus is NO.the problem with this is that Smriti Irannii who had played the role of tulsi until recently had done a very good job,an excellent job,to such an extent that identifying the character with somebody else no matter how good she may be is going to prove nigh impossible.the trp ratings are sure to drop down for this show.wiill the producer wake up and smell the roses for what they are?let's hope so!

The story behind it is indeed tragic and moving.the whole building was built more as a memorial for a lost love,a love that drove an emperor almost to the brink of madness.it seems to be true that love conquers all and that is totally true especially when one views the Taj under the light of a full moon with the Yamuna river meandering nearby.of course all the other wonders of the world are all equally great.but they were all built for the glorification of self rather than for 'a lost cause'.one of the reasons that the Taj story is so moving is that although the emperor Shah Jahan literally put his all into the building of the Taj,he was at the time of his completion imprisoned by his son Aurangazeb.Imagine falling so totally in love with someone,an then that person dies.so you build a fantastic memorial for her.once it is completed,you imagine yourself visiting your loved one in that beautiful memorial but then,you are taken a prisoner by your own son.you are imprisoned in a building right across the Taj and you ca only look out across the river to that sight but you can never visit it ever again.how would you feel?
that is why the love that the Taj signifies is more of a love of the intense hopeless kind.after all that is what real love is all about,right?love knows no reason therefore has only a heart which beats in harmony!
