Today's budget resembled more like an election sop than a serious one. What is evident to most of the people is that the ruling party is doing its bid to expand their votebank.
The budget gave sops to most of the farmers of India and also gave the middle class a breather as regards the income tax. With the industry terming the budget lacklustre are looking at this issue with jaundiced eyes.
