Haneef, exonerated and cleared for work in 'down under'.

The 'Haneef' episode has left everyone with a really ugly taste in one's mouth and it is not going away anytime soon.The Aussie police and the prosecution had failed to prove their case against dr.Haneef in the high court, and in face of that loss, the ex minister Kevin Andrews labelled Haneff as a person of 'Low character' and said that he had failed the 'character' test, a test that is ambiguous in nature and one that allowed the immigration minister unlimited powers as to who he would allow into 'Down under' and whom he can kick out.

Kevin Andrews and the federal police have single handed destroyed the Aussie image of peace loving and tolerant people. Instead, they have made sure that the only image that the world is going to have of Australia is one of intolerance, hatred and typecasting. The general opinion in Australia is that Kevin Andrews is a colossal ass and as to whether that is true or not, I am not able to confirm.

But when the federal court refused to overturn the high court's verdict regarding Haneef, he [Kevin Andrews] must have felt like one.
Both John Howard and Kevin Andrews have a lot to answer for all they put an innocent man through, stripping him of his civil rights and detaining him under false pretences and manufacturing evidence so that he can be imprisoned.
Anyway, the latest is that dr.Haneef can now get his work visa back and it is true what they say, 'as long as you are right, you will always win'! Congrats, Haneef!
