The city gasps for its last breath as fresh air runs out!

Pollution is on the increase everywhere as the number of automobiles are surging ahead everywhere. Where there used to be only a few vehicles on the road, these days the situation is totally different with logjams everywhere. Now days the time that it takes for an average person to go to the office has increased in proportion to the increase in automobiles. The rate at which we add smoke and pollution to our atmosphere it is surprising that we can still breathe about. The word Pollution cannot do any justice to the amount of garbage that we seem to be throwing into the atmosphere!

One of the most heavily polluted cities in the world is none other than Delhi, India's capital city. The industrial pollutants have managed to make most of the cities water resources pretty much undrinkable and now there are reports that there are hundreds of dead fish floating on top of these water bodies, care to guess what the reason is?
By and large, we tend to take mother nature for granted but the reality is that the way we are doing things, our Earth is not going to last for long! The White paper on Delhi's pollution sure makes for a very interesting read . But interesting read or not the current pollution levels in Delhi has reached alarming levels and the common man on the street is finding it increasingly hard to get a whiff of fresh air. One should not be all that surprised if it were to rain Acid rain in Delhi, it is high time that we take some affirmative action against pollution!
